Lesson One: Stick With It

Many times I think, “What would my life look like now had I stuck to one of these things I tried in the past.” Now, I don’t like what ifs and I don’t think about what could’ve been hardly ever. But sometimes this thought creeps in my head. This is an important lesson and I think there is a reason I can’t just forget about this one what if. It’s that important to remember. Still confused? Let me explain.

The reason this is an important lesson is because in the moment it seems insignificant that I would stop what I see no success in. No harm no foul. Not that far in yet. But that’s the thing. If I had stuck with it, I most likely wouldn’t be writing this now. I would probably have seen success already. I would be making money online by now. If I had just done the work then, now would be easy. So the lesson is to just start. Take action and continue to take action. See it through. Don’t quit. Failure isn’t failure. Thats why it’s encouraged. We need to fail to learn. Without failure, we don’t grow. Success is comfortable. There is no growth in comfort. Get uncomfortable to the point you fail then do it again. The only time you truly fail is when you give up. Never give up. Push through and see it through.

If you do the same thing 1000 times with no results, the results are in the growth you made along the way. Making money is a process. A process that won’t happen overnight. But the better you are at something, the more likely you are to monetize it. The more likely you are to win. If I was going to get in to podcasting and my first 50 podcasts get 0 views, thats a failure we will accept. That’s required. Through those 50 podcasts I can guarantee I got better at podcasting. Eventually someone’s gonna listen. Someone is gonna watch. Obviously you can’t do the exact same thing over and over again and expect to blow up. But you’re smarter than that and you would make changes. So is it failure that you got 0 views? No. You learned. You grew. You got one step closer to the goal.

Stick to your goals and the path that will lead you there. Understand in every moment that it is a moment closer to where you want to be. When it gets tough and you want to just stop, think about what your life could look like in 6 months or a year’s time of you grinding and figuring it out. Think about where you are then imagine the best possible life. All because you didn’t give up. That’s where I’m at now. I’m in a spot in my life where I decided I don’t want to stuck where I am at forever. I want to break through more than I want to stay comfortable. Comfort is the killer of growth. I’m no longer comfortable. I hate that I see so many other people making this work and I haven’t yet. Head down, move in silence, figure out the next step. What that is I don’t know yet but I will soon figure it out. It’s only a matter of time. It always is when you never quit.

Feel free to send suggestions of things to write about or next steps for me. I have set up a contact page that includes a submission form and also has my email on it for a more direct line of contact. Mentorship or ideas regarding business suggestions are always welcome. I am still unsure of which route I want to go, however, I will be writing on that soon.
